Purpose of the role:

The Team Lead Supervisor at Do Good is be responsible for overseeing the case managers at their location. They perform supervisions, manage scheduling, and other tasks that are related to leading a team. This position is responsible for ensuring that the mission of Do Good Multnomah is appropriately executed, and operational functions are carried out by case managers. The Leads will be assisting the Program Manager and filling in for the Program Manager when need be.

What you'll do:

  • Assist in the oversight of services and programming in a manner that is consistent with the Do Good Mission, values, policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, support, and positive role modeling for shelter staff.
  • Provide a safe environment for participants.
  • Demonstrate and empower staff to take initiative and problem solve.
  • Assist in taking over responsibilities when the Program Manager is unavailable.
  • Facilitate staff and team meetings in the absence of the manager.
  • Assist in developing and implementing on-the-job training and guidance for new and struggling staff.
  • Provide support and assist staff in following policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the selection of staff during the hiring process.
  • Participate in compliance, quality assurance and quality improvement activities as directed.
  • Maintain compliance of safety compliance as mandated by funders and other entities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Knowledge and experience of how to address and support a combative tenant/client. Ability to work in an environment where people may be verbally hostile.
  • Ability to work courteously with the general public, clients, and co-workers.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.
  • Ability to learn and apply training instruction.
  • Ability and knowledge to provide advocacy.
  • Professional maintenance of appropriate boundaries.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Physical ability to climb stairs several times a day.
  • Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull and lift heavy objects.
