Job description
JTG is currently seeking Target Language Experts in Belarusian, Chinese Wu (Shanghai), Chinese Min (Southern), Georgian, Hungarian, and Kinyarwanda.Location: remote (work from home)
Volume: short project
Responsibilities:
- Translate, transcribe, and review authentic audio and written target-language passages and provide detailed notes about the translation of complex vocabulary and structures used.
- Native or near-native proficiency in the language
- Academic and/or professional background in linguistics, second language teaching, assessment, or translation
- Technological capability of using Microsoft Office applications
- Translation experience or familiarity with translation principles
- Experience with content development for assessment
- Cultural understanding and basic knowledge of linguistic terminology
This position reports to the Project Manager.
