Role: Systems Administration Advisor

Location: Bethesda, MD (Hybrid)

Note: Due to the Sensitivity of the work, we are looking for someone who are eligible for Public Trust Clearance

Job Description:

• At least eight years experience supporting a Windows server environment.
• In depth knowledge and experience in Windows Servers 2012/2016/2019/2022 configurations, administration, and performance management.
• Experience and expertise in VMware ESX virtual servers on UCS Blade hardware is desirable.
• Experience with configuring and managing Windows clusters.
• Experience with System Center Suite (SCCM)
• General knowledge or understanding of database servers gained through server administration in the Windows environment.
• Excellent problem management and troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve critical software and server issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill to be able to ascertain user requirements and prepare documentation.
• Excellent organizational or project management skills in order to plan for upgrades to operating environments.
• Ability to work cooperatively and to function well in a team environment.
• Excellent customer interface skills.
• Ability to support Windows systems in a production 24x7 environment, with rotating on-call duties.
• Documentation may be required for operational procedures, troubleshooting aids, and technical analyses for products, features, and capabilities.
• Ensures all changes are logged through the use of listserv archive lists, and division, branch, and team change management procedures.
• Uses CIT and HSS service management tools, which include Service Now for work request ticket management to respond to and document work efforts requested by customers.
• Certain kinds of experience may be used in lieu of education. In order to substitute experience for educational requirements, the experience must be recognized as sufficiently technical or specialized to achieve the knowledge and skills needed.

Required Skills:

• Provide systems support within a VMWare / Windows environment supporting at least 200 servers.
• Proven support of IIS in a complex systems environment
• Required 5 year experience Powershell scripting
• Experience with tools like ServiceNow

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, MIS or related subject, or 8 years of relevant, related work experience.
• MCSA or MCSE is desired.
• Required, ability to gain a public trust clearance

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
