POSITION SUMMARY

To perform this job successfully, the System Administrator must be able to provide support to both divisions with technical and system administrative support, including helpdesk, system installation, system infrastructure, upgrades and recoveries, configuration and troubleshooting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Install, configure, and administer end-user computer platforms based on Windows 10 & 11
  • Proactively monitor incoming end-user support requests, perform triage, troubleshoot and follow through to resolution
  • Build, configure and administer various applications (Exchange on-premise, O365, SQL Server, Cisco UCM, etc.) and server platforms based on Windows 2012 R2, 2016 and 2019
  • Administrate Windows domain, including OU, DHCP, DNS, NPS, WSUS and GPOs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot door access and CCTV (NVR, IP camera) system
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Veeam or similar daily, weekly and monthly backup & replication jobs
  • Communicate repair efforts to all interested parties include external vendors during system failures
  • Plan, evaluate and install new application version or apply critical/high patches to internal applications per vendor recommendation including Windows Updates
  • Monitor and manage physical and/or virtual (VMware) system performance and make necessary recommendations
  • Administer Fortinet VPN appliance and troubleshoot VPN related issues.
  • Do annually DR run drill with other team members.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies
  • Develops documentation for new and existing systems
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5 years experiences and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experiences.
  • Candidate must be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices and procedures in the information technology industry.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge in Microsoft Technology, including but not limited to Windows client Operating System (Windows 10, etc.), Windows Server (2012 R2, 2016 and 2019), Active Directory, Exchange Email, Firewall, and backup and restore technology.
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Successful candidate must have excellent analytical skills, and fully understand information technology concepts and practices.
  • Strong customer service skills required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Successful candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English is required; Chinese is a plus.
