Job Description


How we efficiently run buildings have a direct impact in the environment. If you’re looking to make an impact and have energy management experience, we’re ready to have you join our team! The Environmental/Energy Manager must have at least two (2) years of experience in energy management and environmental management of heating and cooling systems. Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) is essential to the job. This position reports to the Project Manager (PM) and works alongside the Site Manager for efficient operations.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure NVE operations adhere to the goals and policies of Environmental Management System, Installation Energy Plan, and other specified Sustainability requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs that promote sustainable development and examine contract activities where improvements can be made and ensure compliance with environmental legislation and energy policy.

Skills:

  • Ability to read Architectural blueprints and generate design concepts using available tools.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and federal energy laws and policy (including energy and water reduction requirements and renewable energy requirements) that are applicable to operations at Indian Head, MD
  • Capable with basic office equipment to include cell phone, tablet, telephone, fax and copy scanner.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Moderate knowledge and use of Microsoft Suite of products including Excel, Outlook, and Word is desired.

  • An existing HSPD-12 Determination for Work Desired
