POSITION SUMMARY:

The Supply Chain Manager develops and manages the direction and daily activities of the Company’s materials and services with the focus on people, organization, process and information technology. This includes the S&OP process to support corporate-wide purchasing and ensuring timely logistical processing of product. Responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the Company’s supply chain.

This role has multiple direct reports who are responsible for all product components and will manage the complete material control process including procurement, production/inventory control and ERP. This position will interact with all levels of Company leadership including Operations, Sales, Technology, Quality Control, Marketing and Finance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

May include one or more of the following:

  • Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
  • Manages the materials function , taking into consideration manufacturing capacity, schedules workloads, recommends in house manufacturing vs. outsourcing, quality control and workforce balance.
  • Leads all Supply Chain Management activities within the Company. This will include establishing preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs.
  • Establish and implement standard/automated re-order procedures. Negotiates long-term contracts in coordination with applicable staff and policies. Communicate with senior leadership team on PPV/Cost changes and product shortages in the market.
  • Strategically manage supplier base to include supplier risk management, quality, responsibility, and relationship management.Continually identify and implement new opportunities for cost savings and avoidance, and proactively track the progress.
  • Establish MRP/supply chain schedules achieving cost effective materials movement to maximize asset turnover and increase inventory turns.
  • Establish, maintain, and regularly report on supply chain metrics for on time shipments, inventory turns, inventory levels, inventory accuracy, supplier quality, and cost of goods sold.
  • Responsible for facilitation of the S&OP Process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Requires at least ten (10) years of leadership experience in supply chain management.
  • Requires a 4 year college degree in business, engineering, or materials management. Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • Possesses analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
  • Must have advanced computer skills and be able to understand electronic data processing. Systems (IT) experience beneficial.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal, communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
  • Must be an innovator and embrace lean enterprise principles and practices. Practical experience in implementing lean technologies and practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
