Our Shift Supervisors have amazing leadership abilities and stand in for the General Manager during shifts. The Supervisor supervises staff, takes care of customers, supports the cooks, monitors inventory levels and ensures that restaurant operations run smoothly.

To be successful as a Shift Supervisor you must be able to multitask.

Shift Manager Responsibilities:

• Assign tasks to staff.
• Supervise staff throughout the shift.
• Monitor inventory levels.
• Order more inventory as needed.
• Ensure that enough staff members are present for the shift.
• Balance the cash register at the end of the shift.
• Resolve conflict between staff members.
• Receive feedback from customers and resolve any complaints.
• Works ovens and supports cooks as necessary.
• Jumps in and supports staff where needed.

Shift Manager Requirements:

• Excellent social and communication skills.
• Great leadership skills.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
• California Food Handler’s certificate.
• 18+ RBS Alcohol Training Certificate

Qualified candidates for the Shift lead role at State of Mind Slice House will also possess a wide variety of skills and experiences including:

• Strong positive and upbeat customer service skills
• POS cashiering
• Maintain the slice case for product quality and visual esthetics.
• Prepare and package take out orders for guests/doordash
• Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area as well as back of house cleanliness
• Perform daily prep such as portioning dressings, folding boxes, cheese and peppers.
• Observe all opening and closing procedures

We expect that applicants for all positions (as pertains to the position) will:

• Be responsible, reliable, and punctual.
• Have basic understanding of pizzeria workflow
• Use proper food handling techniques and sanitation standards.

(Certification will be required within 30 days of hiring for all team members)

• Ability to read, write, perform basic arithmetic calculations.
• Be eager to learn and work independently.
• Have attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at once.
• Possess a strong belief in teamwork.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Reach and bend frequently and sometimes lift up to 50 pounds.
• Work flexible shifts and weekends.
• Typical Shifts 10:30 am-4:30 pm and 4:30 pm-9:30/10:30 pm

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
