The qualified Supervisor will have:

  • Bachelors degree in criminology, psychology, counseling, social work or related field (Required) Masters degree (Preferred)
  • Three years of experience working with juvenile populations with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Drivers License and Auto Insurance. (Required)

A qualified candidate will be able to perform the following task:

  • Provide day-to-day supervision to Case Managers, Senior Case Managers, and Consulting Clinicians to ensure caseloads are appropriately managed and the program is meeting contract requirements.
  • Complete Initial reviews of all referrals for program appropriateness and continue to review files per contract requirements.
  • Lead and participate in staffing, supervision, and case reviews.
  • Provide crisis management, debriefing, and consultation to staff when necessary.
  • Ensure program staff comply with regulations and timelines of funding sources, Quality Improvement goals, and contract standards
  • Meet all contractual requirements (state, federal, etc.).
  • Ensure all invoicing is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Train and mentor all staff, new and current, on agency policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Identify staffing needs and maintain appropriately staffed units. This includes but is not limited to resume review, screening potential candidates, face to face interviewing, and collecting and submitting pre-hire and new-hire paperwork to BAYS Human Resources in a timely manner.
  • Developing staff by creating and executing performance improvement plans, goals and evaluations. Ensure documentation of coaching and supervisions is in HRIS System.
  • In collaboration with staff, identify program needs, goals, priorities and service gaps. Create and execute action plans to address findings.
  • Establish and maintain circuit advisory council with meetings to be held at least quarterly.
  • Remain aware of trends, opportunities, and challenges within agency's client population by networking at community meetings.
  • Attend stakeholder meetings, including but not limited to Juvenile Justice Council Meetings and other community provider meetings.
  • Work closely with other agencies to identify opportunities for collaboration and coordination of services
  • Provide leadership within the professional community by representing the needs and interests of the agency.
  • Read and adhere to all policies listed in the BAYS Employee Handbook and Standard Operation Procedures

Rate: $54,000/yr.
Training:
The position follows an initial training plan which consists of 180 hours of online video and instructional training which must be completed within 180 days of hire. Annual training plans are issued to all staff at the beginning of each year with a minimum of 24 hours that must be completed.
Physical Demands:

  • Required to talk or hear.
  • Required to stand, walk, and sit.
  • Required to use hands to feel and reach.
  • Must be able to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to successfully complete CPR/First Aid/AED and Protective Action Response Trainings.
