Your Role:

This is an entry level role that is responsible for investigating, researching, and concluding subrogation recovery for CSAA automobile losses. In this role, you will handle various types of automobile subrogation claims with a primary focus on lower complexity recoveries.

Your work:

  • Handle an inventory consisting of automotive damage, disputed liability, and cross jurisdictional claims.

  • Initiate and hear arbitration between companies on disputed liability and/or damage claims.

  • Negotiate and conclude recovery settlements (within authority) while maintaining strict regulatory compliance.

  • Conduct themselves professionally and with positive behavior.

  • Display values consistent with CSAA Insurance Group.

  • Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle auto claims within draft authority.

  • File and hear arbitrations as required.

  • Determine the appropriate collection method.

Required Experience, Education and Skills:

  • 3+ years of automotive claims liability experience.

  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • General understanding of different lines of coverage (i.e., homeowners, auto, personal property) preferred.

  • BA/BS in Business, Insurance or related area, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds.

  • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)

  • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)

  • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings

  • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc.

The national average hourly rate range for this position is $27.13 – $30.15 per hour. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $24.41 – $32.63 per hour. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 5% of eligible pay.
