Our client located in Smyrna, TN is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career and join a stable company that has been in business for 100 years.
This position reports to the VP of Global Procurement and will be working a hybrid schedule post training.
Responsibilities:
- Creates, negotiates, and manages all supplier contracts which may include legal review and modification.
- Manages and influences local top management towards effective Procurement integration and alignment with the business.
- Provides value creation ideas and projects, including innovation, sustainability, risk management, and cost.
- Leads and supports new product development sourcing activities
- Understands division business strategy and objectives and translate into procurement requirements.
- Designs, plans, and executes category strategies aligned with local & divisional wide business requirements.
- Actively engages and supports Global Category Managers in strategy creation and execution ensuring their contribution impacts positively the local and divisional wide business requirements while keeping the global strategy in mind.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Engineering; MBA a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5 -10 yrs. Procurement and/ or Supply Chain Management experience
- Experience with international business is a plus
- Fluent in English. Other languages a plus
- Experience working in a Matrix environment
