JOB DESCRIPTION – Staff Accountant
Position: Staff Accountant
Department: The Klotz Group of Companies
Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: 645 Mayport Road, Atlantic Beach, Florida, 32233
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepares consolidated internal financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments.
- Maintains and balances various efforts by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data. Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information.
- Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts. - Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting with strict deadlines, Budgeting, and Ad hoc reporting.
- Work with external auditors and comply with requests.
- Handle specific HR duties, recruiting responsibilities and payroll processing.
- Prefer experience with a property management ERP system such as Rent Manager or Yardi, 1-3 years of accounting experience and excel and other Microsoft office programs
