Job Summary
As the representative for our company, you have ownership and accountability to directly manage our Facilities maintenance business. The position is responsible for department revenue growth, customer retention and profitability.
Job Description
Essential Functions
  • Manages the day-to-day operations, and performance of contractual and extra-contractual work.
  • Ensures the inventory of supplies, and equipment is adequate to meet current and foreseeable requirements.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations in a professional and effective manner.
  • Follow up on all sales opportunities provided or self-generated.
  • Collaborates with and works closely with the director of operations to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
  • Manages and leads a high-performance team; provides mentoring.
  • Is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationship with our customers.
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment.
  • Manages policy in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and performance measures.
  • Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Conducts regular training sessions for employees on job procedures and safety.
  • Conducts regular meetings with supervisors/management to review ongoing work, procedures, problem solving, etc.
  • Conducts job-site inspections as necessary to ensure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Maintains the operating condition and security of all equipment owned, leased, or rented by the company and under his/her control.
  • Research and use salesforce company sales tracking system to develop lists of potential customers in your territories with goal of having a command of the targets in the marketplace and having them aware of our services.
  • Evaluates the performance of those employees reporting to him/her.
  • Partners with the customer on a regular basis to ensure all customer’s needs are being met, and to solicit additional work outside the contract.
  • Bid work for recurring facility work such as HVAC PM’s, staffed tech positions, tenant improvement.
  • Keep accurate records of current space conditions including roof, HVAC, utilities and special circumstances.

Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Google mail, Google docs, Salesforce, Access or other facility management systems.
  • Knowledge of P&L’s, and job costing, forecasting.
  • Experience with Salesforce.
  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment and supplies used in maintenance work.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor and superior interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Proven ability to work well with others and motivate people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
  • Will work both independently and as part of a team with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Operational management experience in the territories and markets you will be supporting.
  • Knowledge/experience in QS (Quality System) Regulations for FDA regulated facilities would be a plus.

Education and Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Five (5) to Ten (10) years’ experience, in the facilities and maintenance field.
Requirements
  • Be able to pass criminal background requirements
  • Clean driving record

Work Environment

Small-to-large, fast paced office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments, shop environments and manufacturing environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise. The performance of this position may occasional require exposure to the manufacturing areas where under certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds of office or facilities equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and ability to safely install rigging/lifting devices. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
