Job Title:
Sr. Quality Engineer
Job Description:
Sr. Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, document and develop corrective action strategies for internal and external quality related issues.
- Organize, coordinate and interface with OEM’s regarding parts and transmission concerns.
- Coordinate continuous improvement activities and corrective action activities to closure.
- Provide professional reports on quality investigations, findings, and results.
- Develop and/or complete plant reliability tests to analyze and solve problems.
- Analyze product and process design to prevent and correct problems.
- Develop, conduct and complete required reliability, process and product audits. Participate in TS16949 audits.
- Communicate and coordinate activities with cross-functional organizations
- Implements and actively supports the plant and corporate safety policies and initiatives
- Implement good housekeeping standard
- Proficiency in the application of AIAG Core tools methodologies for Advanced Product quality Planning, measurement System Analysis, Production Part Approval Process, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis and Statistical Process Control.
Other duties as assigned.
- High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
- High level of knowledge of product engineering and manufacturing/assembly processes required.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with business partners and diverse work groups to meet mutual goals required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Knowledge of ISO 9000: TS 16949 requirements.
- Ability to effectively use computer software required.
- Travel time to visit customers and other plants as needed.
