Job Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Sustainability Data & Analytics is responsible for the collection, management, reporting, and analysis of the environmental and broad sustainability data supporting the AEG Sustainability program. This position has the primary responsibility for working with all AEG business units to manage AEG Sustainability metrics within the company's environmental performance system. This position is responsible for ensuring completeness of coverage across the company and maintaining and improving AEG's utilization of its data management tools and developing new tools and processes as needed. This position is responsible for managing the relationship with AEG's external software system provider and sustainability partner, and the related sustainability data and emissions reporting from the system. This position plays a key role in the communications and overall sustainability reporting within the AEG Sustainability department. This position reports to the VP, Sustainability as a member of the AEG Sustainability team.
Essential Functions
  • Work with AEG personnel (corporate, venue, event/festival, tour, and sports team) as well as external partners to lead the collection, management, analysis, and maintenance of the utility and accuracy of the data and information comprising AEG's sustainability metrics. Manage the external relationship and serve as the primary point of contact with AEG's sustainability data partner, Schneider Electric and for their software system, EcoStructureTM Resource Advisor.
  • Perform and lead environmental and sustainability reporting, including emissions calculations across all scope areas and across AEG's sustainability targets. Serve as lead for target setting projects and workstreams. Support business case development and ad hoc data requests for sustainability data by providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with AEG users and vendors & partners to improve functionality of sustainability metrics. Develop or drive development and/or acquisition of additional data management tools and techniques as needed.
  • Draft reports, analyses, summaries, and other written content, as well as charts, graphs, diagrams, and other visual content, to support sustainability reporting, marketing, and other activities, as well as any other AEG programs or efforts as needed.
  • Support the communications and reporting initiatives across AEG Sustainability, working closely with AEG's communications and public relationship department, including collecting stories for and the production of newsletters, content for the AEG Sustainability Twitter account, content and activations for environmental holidays/awareness days, development of social media strategy, and content for press releases and other communications.
  • Manage enrollment, engagement, and training and development for AEG users of the sustainability software system, including utility bill management and working with internal and external partners on the process.
  • Support and help manage projects and workstreams across AEG's business units related to sustainability data management and capture, including representing AEG Sustainability and participating in working groups and initiatives hosted and led by our business units.
  • Provide support to and generally collaborate with AEG Sustainability colleagues on strategic projects, initiatives, activations/events, and other departmental activities.
Required Qualifications
  • BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) Undergraduate or graduate education within Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or a related field or discipline, strongly preferred
  • 4-6 years Related professional experience
  • Experience with environmental programs, impacts, and topic areas, including energy, waste, water, materials, procurement
  • Experience with sustainability software systems and calculation of greenhouse gas emissions, database management & development, and working with and analyzing large sets of data. Experience with Schneider Electric data and related products is preferred
  • Interest and experience in environmental programs, energy programs, and/or the sports and entertainment industry preferred
  • Experience being a team player and working effectively in a growing, dynamic fast paced service-oriented environment subject to changing priorities, project deadlines and time constraints
  • Experience defining problems, uncovering opportunities, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions
  • Experience in the sports, music, and entertainment industries, preferred but not required
  • Well-organized, detail oriented, strong analytical and problem solving skills, proficiency in sustainability analysis, strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), experience with sustainability and environmental metric and data management software, ability to learn all require business systems
  • Knowledge of core principles of sustainability, understanding of and ability to measure environmental impacts, and understanding of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship development, ability to work with a broad set of colleagues and stakeholders across diverse functions and business units
  • Position requires adaptability, self-starter mentality, ability to navigate and thrive in uncertainty, and a desire to collaborate
  • An analytical mindset, critical thinking and listening skills, and evident passion for sustainability in live events

Pay Scale: $65,000 - $93,578
