What you'll be doing as a Sr. Affordable Housing Community Manager:

  • Prepare all certifications and re-certifications for HUD, RD, and Tax Credit and confer with Compliance Specialist concerning any questions or errors. When necessary, refer questions to Compliance Director or Compliance Manager.
  • Provide Community Managers guidance in HUD, RD, and Section 42 (Tax Credit) Rules, Regulations and Guidelines, and Coast processes related to affordable housing compliance.
  • Ensure required monthly, quarterly, and annual compliance reporting is submitted.

  • Organize records and maintain physical and electronic files for certifications, correction memos, wait for lists, and resident files as required.

  • Audit A/R reports for any compliance issues, such as corrected rents not reflected on the tenant ledger.

  • Update new property information (new income limits, rent increases, utility allowances, etc.) in the software system when advised by Director

  • Assist with new property set-ups, including mapping of affordable programs in Yard

  • Assist with processing tenant move-outs, move-ins and correction of tenant ledgers, and disposition of security deposits

  • Assist with Yardi training for Community Managers

  • Travel to properties to assist with late recertifications as needed and directed

  • Read and understand regulatory agreements and handbooks, and organize compliance requirements for Tax Credit, HUD, and RD properties.

  • The position will require individuals to ensure Community Managers all are active with BVS, EIV systems and that EIV protocols are being followed and trained accordingly.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has supervisory responsibilities.

1. This employee will help monitor the paperwork received by the Community Managers when assigned to work for a site and report any problems or discrepancies to the Regional Manager and Compliance Director as directed.

2. Demonstrate leadership, and promote professionalism through appearance, attitude, and communication skills.

3. When assigned, ensure employee compliance with the Residential Landlord & Tenant Acts in each jurisdiction and all other governmental laws and regulations

Are you qualified? (We hope so!)

This position carries supervisory responsibilities.

  • Affordable certifications preferred
  • College education preferred (Experience will be taken into consideration above education.)
  • Previous clerical/administrative experience and experience with office computers and software
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Experiences with HUD, RHS, and Tax Credit (with ongoing education and training in required fields)

  • Prior Community Manager or Compliance Specialist experience preferred

  • Experience with YARDI Voyager, property management software

  • Ability to compose and coordinate professional correspondence with outside agencies and Community Managers.

Full Time

Pay: $56,160.00 to $58,240.00 DOE

Location: Everett, WA (Main Office)

Willing to travel to Eastern WA, Seattle, Tacoma, OR & AK
