Position Summary

The Sales Specialist’s role entails supporting the sales team in attaining monthly and annual targets through proposal writing, contract development, and effective communication with new and existing clients, external distributors, representatives and agents. A Sales Specialist will resolve all complex inquiries from the clients and ensures customer satisfaction. The Sales Specialist will support the Regional Vice President’s and their Account Manager’s with sales related activities and act as the liaison between the sales team and other departments within the organization.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

General Administrative Duties:

  • Providing sales and administrative support through various office duties such as answering the phone, making calls to vendors, managing calendars, scheduling site visits, etc.
  • Review emails daily sent overnight and any lagging from week before, prioritizing accordingly.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for sales meetings, including hotel
  • Prepare and review expense reports for VP’s of Sales
  • Facilitate payment of sales expenses using company credit card (P-card)
  • Attend monthly install meeting.
  • Review and verify units for Area splits and send updated information to IT and Fleet departments.
  • Submit monthly P-Card expense reports.

Fleet /Trucking Duties:

  • Review and verify information on crane and trucking PO’s, ensuring approval or rejection is submitted on a timely manner as necessary.
  • Coordinate with fleet as to released or re-deployed units.
  • Contact trucking company to clarify information when anomalies arise in field.

Contract Duties:

  • First 2 weeks of month check for contracts expiring and needing to be renewed for the following month
  • Verify information on addendums
  • Follow up with Account Managers on unexecuted contracts
  • Follow up with Account Managers on Reviewed SIS’s

SIS and II Duties:

  • Process invoicing instructions according to activity reports
  • Verify location name discrepancies with customers and send invoicing instructions accordingly
  • Process contract renewals or rate increases when contracts expire
  • Apprise AR of invoicing to hold if changes are expected to come during the next billing cycle
  • Process assumption II when contracts are assumed by a new customer

Customer Requests:

  • New contract requests from specific customers
  • Gathering of executed/unexecuted contracts
  • Contract execution
  • Monthly unit lists with requested information
  • Unit renewals and releases
  • Pedigree requests sent to fleet


Education, Experience, & Training

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to adapt and learn new software
