Position Description:

L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is seeking an Audit Specialist to join our team. This position is a great opportunity to learn the Communication Systems business and once successful, could result in additional opportunities within the finance organization in the future. This role will be hybrid based out of Lynchburg, VA, or Rochester, NY. In this role, the specialist will execute the self-testing audit model for CS entities. The specialist will work directly with the Audit Manager and the individual process owners to plan and complete the annual Internal Controls over Financial Reporting audits. The successful candidate is an individual who is experienced in audit execution with a good understanding of accounting processes and controls.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Execute the quarterly self-testing of controls under the CS organization
• Lead walkthroughs with process owners and document Test of Design
• Document and conclude on control operating effectiveness
• Execute audit fieldwork and documentation timely to meet corporate deadlines
• Work with Audit Manager and control owners to recommend and implement process improvements, policy updates, etc., when appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of prior related experience in public or private accounting. Graduate degree and 2+ years prior related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience interacting directly with external auditors
• Demonstrated ability to successfully work as a team
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Proactive, creative, and analytical skills including problem identification, problem solving, and decision-making skills
• Demonstrated strengths will include a highly collaborative work style, the ability to anticipate problems, and effective communication tactics
• Experience in conducting either external or internal audits in accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley principles
