Job Summary


Responsible for collecting and replacing all slot machine bill validating currency drop boxes, in accordance with the MICS and the policies and procedures of the Drop Team.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


> Removes slot machine bill acceptor canisters from each gaming machine, one machine at a time, and places into the storage cart
> Replaces the empty slot machine bill acceptor canisters into the gaming machines
> Transfers locked storage carts with a security escort to a locked count room where the storage carts are secured
> Remove bill acceptor canisters from the storage cart, one at a time and empty contents of the bill acceptor canister following established approved Kiowa Casino policies and procedures
> Lock empty bill acceptor canister and place into storage cart
> Count all contents of removed currency from the bill acceptor canister following established approved Kiowa Casino policies and procedures. Accurately complete soft count documentation for transfer of funds to the main bank
> Input soft count and other financial data into an assigned computer system; maintain related automated records; assure accuracy of input data
> Maintain records and logs related to soft count drops, money totals, discrepancies, daily activities and assigned duties
> Communicate with Casino personnel to exchange information and resolve issues or concerns
> Operate a currency counter, calculator, computer and assigned software
> Other duties as assigned by Management
> Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and Kiowa Casino policies and procedures
> Ensure compliance with Kiowa Casino safety policies and procedures


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSA)


REQUIRED:
> High school diploma or GED required
> At least 21 years of age
> 1 year general cashiering experience

PREFERRED:
> Working knowledge of the Gaming Industry and the laws and regulations governing gaming operations

SKILLS REQUIRED:
> Basic computer skills
> Strong written communication skills
> Strong verbal communication skills
> Guest service, interpersonal and teamwork skills necessary to maintain quality service delivery
> Accurate and detail-oriented
> Strong problem solving skills

ABILITIES REQUIRED:
> Ability to maintain high confidentiality
> Ability to independently manage multiple tasks in a professional manner
> Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
> Ability to manage extensive amounts of paperwork
> Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds routinely
> Ability to perform basic mathematical skills
> Ability to count large sums of money

Physical Demands / Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The team member must lift and/or move up to 100 pounds routinely.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Office, gaming floor and convention center environment including flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals.
