About the role:

The Virtual Sleep Care Medical Assistant is responsible for providing patients with the virtual clinical care necessary to treat a patient’s OSA. They leverage their telehealth and administrative experience to provide patients with accurate guidance related to diagnostic and treatment equipment care. As a Virtual Sleep Care Medical Assistant you will:

Guide our patients while developing your OSA expertise

• Educate patients on equipment usage & maintenance via telehealth
• Offer guidance to patients on proper equipment selection
• Document all correspondence with patients in Brightree

Partner with providers and internal stakeholders

• Review compliance & PAP usage data to determine next steps in treatment
• Follows up with providers as needed
• Arrange shipping of durable medical equipment (DME) or Home Sleep Test (HST)
• Ensures returns
• Ensures deliveries
• Prepare documentation to (cover letter, document packet, delivery ticket, verification form, HIPAA form, Credit Card Authorization form)

Other ad-hoc projects/responsibilities as needed

• Prepare reports
• Send updated patient chart notes to providers

What we’re looking for:

• AA degree OR Medical Assistance Certification OR 2+ years' hands-on virtual experience in telehealth environment.
• Proficient Knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
• 1+ years of Brightree experience
• Successful candidate will train for a one-year period to become a Device Licensee. SleepQuest will pay for the license
• You enjoy technology and are comfortable interacting with patients virtually!
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Strong computer skills, to include proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Work Environment:

• Remote roles: Full-time Monday Friday, 8:30 am -5:00 pm PST or (6:30 am to 3:00 pm PST if available) w/ ½ hour lunch and two 10-minute breaks
• Adequate technology must be available to perform remote responsibilities
• Adequate privacy and dedicated spacing must be available to perform remote responsibilities
• Non-Exempt (Overtime must be approved in advance with manager)

Salary Range:

• $25 - $30 hourly
