Job description

Description of work:
- Working with systems in the cloud and at the far edge
- Troubleshoot issues, then fix the root cause, automate recovery, automate notifications.
- Maintain core micro-services
- Write core micro-services
- Improve the build pipeline to make it easier for developers to write micro-service-based applications
- Improve system security
- Automate infrastructure deployment
- Help evolve the system to something that better meets the business objectives
- Help guide the architecture evolution

Experience & Exposures
The applicant should have experience/training with
- Networking and diagnosing networking issues
- Automation scripting (i.e. terraform, bash)
- Understanding of cybersecurity and best practices
- Linux
- Cloud provider experience

Required programming languages:
- Bash

Programming languages that are used; must have good experience with at least one:
- python
- java
- dotnet
- go

Great skills to have:
Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, HashiCorp Vault, Ansible, Bash, Git, Python, Go, Java, .Net, GCP cloud provider experience, Azure DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, Crossplane, Javascript, Traefik, Nginx, computer hardware, authentication, Virtualization"

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sugar Land, TX 77479: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Azure: 1 year (Preferred)
