Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly received, documented, and processed in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have experience in shipping and receiving, be familiar with inventory management, and have strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and process incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of the items received against packing slips or purchase orders
• Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring that they are properly labeled and documented
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area
• Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and other internal departments to resolve any issues with shipments
• Prepare reports on shipping and receiving activities as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in shipping and receiving
• Familiarity with inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to be trained
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
