Position Overview:
The Senior People Analyst will create, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, talent retention, legal compliance, and other HR metrics. The Senior People Analyst will be the subject matter expert for all key metrics and data for the HR team and will own the report out to business units in order create education around workforce trends and planning.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Creates and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including HRIS (UKG), employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, compliance and policies, and other sources.
  • Works to identify data and metrics not currently being tracked that would assist in showing impact of the HR team and the value in which it brings to the organization.
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership and HR.
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to maintain legal compliance.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes in partnership with the Manager, HR Systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least five years of experience in related areas such as analyzing talent, performance, turnover, recruiting metrics, and other KPIs and owning the report out to senior leadership.
  • Experience working with Tableau and/or UKG preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and HR policies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Intermediate to advance expertise with Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and similar employee management software.
