Netspend is looking for a Senior Marketing Data Analyst who is passionate about applying data and analytics in a direct-to-consumer marketing environment. Netspend has headquarters in Austin, TX, though remote applicants within the U.S are also under consideration.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with digital marketing managers and the underlying data to identify growth and optimization opportunities within the marketing budget in order to maximize ROI & LTV.
- Discover new ways to find answers to longstanding questions.
- Develop A/B and multivariate tests in various acquisition and lifecycle initiatives to improve funding rates and retention across our consumer debit products.
- Integrate any new approaches into our data visualization tool.
- Write sophisticated queries in SQL to extract data from various internal databases and third-party sources.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to teams and business stakeholders at multiple levels across Netspend.
Qualifications:
- You have 4+ years of experience working as a dynamic individual that can tackle many different kinds of marketing- and data-related projects.
- You want to figure stuff out: from data exploration to bug hunts to end-to-end marketing testing (design, results, conclusions), you care about finding problems and devising solutions to open-ended projects.
- You have experience synthesizing findings and visualizing data to tell a story (experience with dashboard-building tools such as Qlik is a plus).
- You are proficient in SQL and know how to build optimized queries that efficiently extract data from very large tables (experience with Snowflake and/or Oracle is preferred).
- You know how to program and analyze data in Python (ex: pandas, numpy) or another tool or method (R, pivot tables).
- You are familiar with data science techniques like clustering, time series analysis, logistic regression, forecasting, decision trees, and other supervised machine learning techniques.
- You love to work independently and thrive when given a significant amount of autonomy.
- You value work-life balance and are able to work remotely (or from our Austin, TX office).
- You enjoy being in a data-driven work environment that makes a large impact to the business by working across different parts of the organization including the Product, Finance, Risk, and Engineering teams.
