The Senior Manager, Fuel Logistics handles the movements of bulk fuel to ensure adequate, timely fuel supply with efficient level of inventories both on and off-airport. Works with internal teams including supply, quality, services and airline operations and external teams including fuel suppliers, pipelines, terminals, supplier logistics (scheduling, truck dispatch), and airport fuel facilities to achieve the efficient and risk balanced movement of fuel. This role will support both 24-7 airline operational needs as well as projects and planning for future growth.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable supplier and self-supply fuel movements, and inventory profiles across the global airport network matching supply with airline demand. Clear reporting and tracking of fuel movements along the supply chain to the airport systems.
• Develop and implement supply strategies, find opportunities to minimize cost with a solid understanding of major US refined product pipeline shipping policies, tariff structures, scheduling operations, fuel trucking operations including FERC policies and quality compliance requirements.
• Accurately forecast fuel demand and nominate to vendors to optimize inventory in a cost-efficient manner. Develop and maintain detailed tracking to aid decision making to get ahead of forecastable trends and planned maintenance/outages off and on-airport.
• Proactively anticipate and lead fuel crisis situations and ensure timely and sharing of supply and demand information and communication relevant to other partners. Maintain commercial relationships with internal and external parties.
• Support month end close for balancing price and volume for fuel movements on pipelines, terminals, marine vessels and trucks including dispute resolutions to ensure timely invoice payments.
• Find and complete deals (exchanges, spot transactions) with external parties to best use pipeline space constraints and manage geographical and temporal price dislocations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5 years of experience in fuel logistics or pipeline scheduling
• Experience with transportation fuel markets, logistics, and operations.
• Job availability is 24/7 with some travel required (up to 5-10%)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting. Supply Chain, Engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience in aviation fuel supply logistics and pipeline scheduling.
• Sophisticated user of Microsoft Excel with knowledge of PowerBI, SQL,
• Familiarity with Fuel IT systems: Transport4, ION RightAngle.
