Summary of Duties: Provide a wide variety of customer service-related, administrative and office management facilities.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide a high level of customer service to department customers by answering questions and providing information.
  • Independently perform office support duties for the department including: maintain files, route incoming and outgoing mail, make copies, send faxes, printing labels, and other miscellaneous administrative support activities.
  • Greet visitors and conducts to appropriate area or person.
  • Routes incoming mail. Locates and attaches appropriate file or application and routes to appropriate staff.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence.
  • Organizes and maintains department office supply and printed material inventory.
  • Prepare outgoing correspondence and information packets.
  • Attends a variety of meetings related to departmental and interdepartmental activities and programs.
  • Maintains records and develop tracking systems for activities such as incoming calls, office supply use and needs, etc.
  • Recommend improvements in work flow, procedures and use of equipment and forms.
  • Performs special projects for management staff, either conducted within the department or inter-departmentally.
  • Conducts research, assesses and evaluates findings, and presents findings to management.
  • Identifies resource needs and develops action plan; set up plans and procedures for achieving objectives.
  • Perform other such duties and functions as may be necessary or incidental to the proper performance of this position.
  • Assumes shared responsibilities in regards to administrative duties of various software systems including: Accella, 311, Fleet Maintenance, SharePoint/teamsite, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school.


Experience:
Over three years up to and including five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Licenses and Certifications:
Must possess a Texas driver’s license within the first ninety (90) days of employment and meet the driver safety policy requirements.


Computer Skills:
Must be proficient in MS Office. Must be able to learn new software programs that assist the needs of the Park Operations team.
