Job Description


Perform secretarial services in the High School Security and Main Office.

SALARY: $10.25-$15.25/hour (wage determined by years of relevant experience)

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 8 hours/day, 10.5 months/year (benefits eligible)

REPORTS TO: High School Principal or Designee


Qualifications
  • High school graduate
  • Prefer additional training in secretarial functions, record keeping, and computer operations
  • Thorough knowledge of office terminology, procedures, and equipment such as a copier, postage machine, fax machines, and office telephone systems
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a good command of both written and oral English language skills
  • Ability to use a video surveillance system
  • Demonstrated experience and competence for responsibilities
  • Ability to follow complex oral and written directions
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and courtesy when dealing with staff, patrons, the public
  • The ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personnel and other records
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as are determined appropriate and acceptable
