Finger Lakes Health is seeking a Secretary to join our team! This position would be working in our Emergency Room at Geneva General Hospital. We are seeking someone to work part-time, about 20 hours per week and rotational weekends.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a secretarial role and some medical terminology knowledge.

Two years of general secretarial experience.

Previous Emergency related experience.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and ability to deal with the people in a professional and courteous manner.

Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and enhance the spirit of teamwork through effective role modeling.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills.

Computer literacy.

Experience with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical record; Meditech.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Emergency Department Nurse Manager, performs clerical functions to support the clinical operations of the GGH Emergency Department. Reviews ED records for completion and performs terminal filing of the same.

EDUCATION:
Minimum: High school or equivalent with office experience. Medical Terminology knowledge.
Preferred: Associate degree in secretarial or health related field.; Completion of course in medical terminology.LICENSE:
