Vacancy 4 Part-time Seasonal Staff April 2023 through November 2023

Position Hours:

Vacancy 1&2: 2 Guest service, shift 7:00 am-_3:30 pm 3-4 days per week plus overnight emergency staff opportunity, shift 11:00 am-7:30 pm 1:00 pm-9:30 pm 3-4 days per week_

Vacancy 3: 1 Houseman/Sanitation, shift 9:00am-5:30pm 3-4 days per week

Vacancy 4: 1Reception 3:30pm-12am, 4-5 days per week plus overnight emergency staff opportunity

All shift hours are schedule to change based on group needs.

Rate of pay $15.00-16.00 start per hour. NO BENEFITS

Purpose of the Position:

Directly participates in the daily operations at the LIEC facility by keeping the highest standards of guest service and cleanliness in all public areas of the Long Island Education Center.

Essential Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Check in and check out of members as needed
• Respond to guest requests and be readily available to assist guests as needed.
• Assist with cleanliness of public areas which includes Conference Center, Restaurant, office, and grounds.
• Reports any guest discrepancies to Management.
• Reports any maintenance concerns or requests to Management in an efficient manner, which pertains to public areas and member requests.
• Assist with dinner preparation for members if on an evening shift. This may include barbeque set up, hot buffet set up, dessert set up, clean up, food handling supervision, restocking of non-alcoholic beverages and fire wood.
• Is responsible for reporting to work regularly and on time; punching in and out on time, and utilizing the time card provided, at the start and end of each shift.
• Is responsible for coming to work in full uniform before the shift starts.
• Reviews the daily event sheets, assignment sheets, or special assignment sheets given based on the event.
• Is responsible for assigned set of keys and securing all designated areas at the end of each shift
• Provided Management with up-to-date pertinent information pertaining to the shift.
• Follows all Lost and Found procedures as specified by the Long Island Education Center’s General Information and Guideline document.
• Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules as specified in the Joint Industry Board - Employee handbook
• Additional duties which you may be asked to perform and is expected to perform any related duties as requested by Management

To Do This Kind of Work You Must be able to:

• Have strong customer/guest service skills
• Use written communication skills to communicate with guests and associates
• Have minimal computer skills

Physical Demands:

Lifting or pushing fifty (50) pounds maximum, frequent twisting, bending, reaching, lifting, walking, standing, handling, feeling, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, smiling

LIEC Management is seeking a candidate that fully understands the essential parts of the job and will train the applicant hired to sufficiently handle the position; implementing the proper procedures to handle food, and clean grounds public areas as expected.
