The Packer Avenue Marine Terminal is operated by Greenwich Terminals LLC and is one of the most productive terminals in the United States.The facility employs 12 highly productive and safe in-house labor crews and offers 19 start times which creates greater flexibility for vessel departure and arrival times. This adds up to cargo being moved faster, discharged faster, and saves distributors time and money.
A growing Philadelphia area stevedore and terminal operating company is seeking highly motivated individuals to work as a Customer Service Specialist. Successful candidates must be able to work in a fast paced, drug free environment. Successful candidate will be the terminal’s customer and related agents first point of contact regarding cargo moving through the terminal. Candidates will also monitor the Terminal Operating System and convey information internally and externally. Prior port/shipping knowledge is a plus. Strong understanding of customer service skills a must. Individuals should possess the following qualities:
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to solve problems, look ahead to avoid problems, and follow through to completion.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and can work with groups of individuals.
- Ability to work with US Government partners such as US Customs, CBP Agriculture, USDA, FDA.
- Ability to coordinate with internal departments, customers and their agents, and vendors.
- Good correspondence and computer skills a must (Word, Excel, and Outlook) with the ability to learn in house network.
- Working knowledge of CBP’s Automated Commercial Environment a plus
- Position is mostly normal business hours. However occasional weekend holiday hours are possible.
- Ability to formulate work plans for Terminal Services.
- Verify and confirm completion of planned services.
- Provide general assistance to customers in a courteous and professional manner.
