Job description
St. Joseph School Cockeysville is hiring a part-time, eleven-month registered nurse for the 23-24 School Year to job-share with the current School Nurse. The School Nurse will work closely with the principal, teachers, students and parents to maintain a healthy and safe environment at St. Joseph. This position is for 2-3 days a week, approximately 17.5 hours a week.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing assessment and treat injuries and illnesses
- Dispense medication as prescribed
- Maintain student health records in accordance with the Health Department of MD and the Department of Catholic Schools
- Disseminate health information to administration, faculty, staff, students and parents as appropriate and necessary
- Coordinate care plans and special accommodations for students
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Registered nurse, licensed in the state of Maryland
- Prior experience working with a diverse age group is preferred
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Current CPR certification
