JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking a motivated, analytical, self-starter to contribute to our continued legacy of financial strength. Specific responsibilities for this position include:

  • Call customers daily to obtain payments and resolve Order to Cash issues.
  • Working with sales team and understanding our customers are repeat customers and must be treated with respect so as not to damage relationships.
  • Responsible for the daily follow up and collection activity for customer accounts: Mainly Maintenance and Open Order lines of business
  • Prepare customer concessions and Legal/Collection packages and follow-up that documents are processed.
  • Customer Account reconciliations – both internal and external customers
  • Keep customer contact information, both phone numbers and email address, current in our systems
  • Document all collection activities within JDE Account Activity Log (notes).
  • Hold collection meetings with appropriate field reps monthly to resolve past due AR
  • Problem solve to identify the best method to collect outstanding balances from the correct point of contact
  • Follow all company policy and procedures.

The accounts in the Otis portfolio are A-class, high profile clients, comprised of building owners/owner groups, large property management companies, high volume General Contractors and Developers. Successful candidates should have experience working with similar AR portfolios.

Education / Certifications:

High school diploma/certificate required. AA/AS degree preferred, or Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post high school training (two years duration)

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have excellent communication style in both written and verbal
  • Experience collecting for high volume B2B AR portfolios (over 2,000 invoices on the monthly Trial Balance)
  • Driven to perform well in fast-paced environment
  • Process-oriented
  • Fluent in numerous computer-based collections applications
  • Highly organized and Detail-oriented
  • Respects accountability expectations
  • Able to work well in teams, with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Able to stay focused on achieving targets, whether working independently or in partnership with colleagues
  • Punctual and Professionally conscientious in personal presentation and communication skills
