We are looking for a self-motivated, competitive, and highly driven salesperson to promote the company’s products and services and for building relationships with new and existing accounts. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in sales, a vast knowledge of culinary experience and outstanding communication skills. The focus is to help customers succeed while achieving sales and profit goals established by the company. This position may require working some non-traditional hours such as evenings, weekends, and holidays to successfully meet the customers’ needs. Winter holidays have the highest sales potential due to seasonality of our main product lines.

Responsibilities:

• Manage existing customer base.
• Identifying opportunities with existing customers businesses where we can add value through product and service offerings.
• Develop and execute a strategy to generate new customers.
• Initiate contact and follow up with potential customers to present our new products or services.
• Commit to staying updated on all services and products, competition, and market conditions to ensure customer needs are met.
• Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, and availability.
• Go to in-person meetings, trade shows and sales events to further develop networking contacts.
• Research industry and market trends impacting restaurants, chefs, and wholesale Vendors.

Qualifications:

• Applicants should have 3-5 years of sales experience.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or a Culinary Training Certificate is preferred.
• Restaurant Management, Foodservice Sales, or Chef Experience is a plus. Must be able to hold rapport with customers and chefs and determine pricing levels for customer types.
• Must have excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Must present a neat, professional, and polished appearance.
• Strong computer skills. Familiar with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Google Drive.
• Able to prioritize tasks, solve problems, build long-lasting relationships, and create positive customer experiences.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a “clean” driving record.
• Must be willing to travel for customer visits, vendor shows and networking events.

Compensation:

Salary is determined based on experience. Commission is uncapped with potential for high earnings due to expense of products and high volume potentials.

Salary starting at $50,000 with potential for high commission earnings.
