Annual Salary Range (based on experience): $40K+
Required Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years' experience successfully growing profitable sales in the automotive industry.
  • Automotive wholesale sales experience. Parts and Service experience helpful
  • Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)
  • Above average presentation and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft software.

Position Summary:

The Sales Manager will manage the New and Used Car Department in a profitable and professional manner. They will lead by example with urgency, determination and attitude.

The automotive Sales Manager supervises a team of salespeople. Similar to all automotive salespeople, the primary objective of managers is to sell cars. In some cases, managers must provide direction and motivation to the sales staff in order to move the most inventory possible as fast as possible. Additional job duties include hiring, coaching, training and setting sales goals for employees. Automotive sales managers also develop annual sales budgets, monitor inventory and cultivate good guest relations. As an automotive sales managers, you are responsible for marketing, advertising and special promotions.

What you will be doing:


  • Desk deals and give salespeople direction in closing deals.
  • Talk with all new and used car customers before they leave.
  • Maintain CSI scores that are above the Region.
  • Market and merchandize our new and used car inventory (lot appearance, sale tags, etc.).
  • Keep work environment upbeat and positive (attitude sells).
  • Make sure that all new and used car customers are followed up within 24 hours.
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of showroom, office areas and guest area.
  • Update forecasts and track all sales activity.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional and responsible manner.
  • Learn how to take on additional responsibilities as to continue to move up within the organization.
  • Conduct effective and meaningful training meetings.
  • Review the daily D.O.C. for accuracy.
  • Conduct daily one-on-ones with salespeople.
  • Requirements: Valid drivers license.
