Sales Associate (Full Time) - Huntsville, AL

OVERVIEW
Sales Associates support the administration of the sales department. To be successful in this position, you will assist with the day-to-day functions for the sales department and complete tasks assigned by the Sales Manager.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• General Office Duties.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Work as a team and help others by doing your work responsibly.
• Assist your Sales Manager and Sales Agent with the following:
• Potential Buyers – organization of records and prospect information, indirect marketing, and signage.
• Current Buyers –schedule Color/Option appointments, send construction pictures, schedule first walks, prep homes before final walk, and keep specs clean.
• Maintenance – keep model and specs clean, stock office supplies, documents, packets, etc.
• Community Events: help organize and schedule.

• Enroll in and successfully complete a Salesperson pre-licensing course approved by the Alabama Real Estate Commission.
• Make satisfactory progress toward obtaining a Salesperson license from the Alabama Real Estate Commission
• As an unlicensed Sales Associate, you are prohibited from doing any of the following:
• Show properties for sale to potential buyers
• Solicit or accept prospects or listings
• Negotiate sales or leases
• Present or solicit contracts for the sale or purchase of real estate
• Hold yourself out as engaged in the real estate business
• Present yourself as being able to perform an act for which a real estate license is required
• Perform any act for which a real estate license is required

JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Supervisory Responsibilities:

• No other employees to supervise. No authority to hire, fire, assign work, or evaluate performance.

Education/Skills Requirements:

• High School diploma.

Experience Requirements/Equivalents:

• 1-2 years of experience in residential construction industry.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Great verbal communication skills and strong listening skills.

Extent of Customer/Public Contact:

• Daily interaction with the public in-person, over the office phone, and via email.

Working Conditions and Environment:

• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and valid motor vehicle liability insurance are required.
• Required to travel to sales office for daily activities.
• Travel from community to community to assist with job duties listed above.
• Travel to company office for meeting.
• Work is generally performed in a typical office environment using standard office equipment.
• Work is typically sedentary but some walking and light lifting is required along with general cleaning to maintain homes.
• Fast paced environment subject to several interruptions with priority changes with short notice.

Work Schedule:

• Days and hours of the work week will vary but will not exceed 40 hours.

COMPENSATION

• Full-time position with a salary based on experience.
