The Sales & Marketing Analyst will be responsible for leading, identifying, and supporting opportunities to grow sales and profits for the company’s strategic focus on retail sales. This role will support five channels of sales: traditional dealer, fleet chain, ecommerce, private label, and company owned stores. The role will be focused on achieving and exceeding sales and profit goals through thorough assessment, analysis, forecasting, modeling and measuring of business opportunities.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be a strategic member of the Retail Sales Leadership Team, with high corporate visibility and the ability to implement recommendations and quickly see results.
  • Work cross-functionally within KNG, our family of companies at Kent Corporation, as well as with customers, to accomplish projects and achieve business goals.

Sales Growth Initiatives

  • Will work with sales channel directors to identify and execute growth initiatives, often involving customer interaction, customer data sources, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Will build and maintain KPIs, reports, etc. to monitor and manage progress and post-project progress to goals.
  • Will mine internal, customer and industry data looking for new opportunities to grow sales and improve profitability.
  • Will proactively identify new opportunities, present opportunities for consideration, and will frequently lead the execution and implementation.
  • Will regularly review sales volume, profitability and other trends to identify improvement opportunities
  • Will support budgeting process with analysis, modeling and forecasting.
  • Will set up and design data models, reports and scorecards to support projects and ongoing sales operations.
  • Will support all retail sales channels with ad hoc reporting and data analysis needs.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in analytical, business development or similar role.
  • Experience with sales, manufacturing, logistics and procurement preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen.
  • Experience with analytical tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Data Analytics, Business or similar.
  • Some formal training in data analysis (classes, certificate, or similar).
  • MBA or Masters in Finance, Data Analytics or similar preferred.
