Position: Sales Account Manager

Team: Sales

Reports to: VP of Sales

Shift: Regular Business Hours

Purpose: This Sales Account Manager position serves as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of current and prospect accounts with responsibility for retention and growth. Ensure customers derive maximum value from our products and service. Develop and implement account strategies and annual plans to achieve sales goals. Work closely with customers to identify needs and provide solutions which lead to greater account penetration, increased customer satisfaction and sales growth. Works collaboratively with other teams and managers within Keystone Threaded Products for the ultimate benefit of the customer.

This position serves as the primary service contact for assigned accounts and is responsible for their satisfaction, including some strategic planning responsibilities. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service and leadership to accounts, as well as represent Keystone’s core values to ensure quality.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Achieving annual sales and profit growth targets through account penetration and securing new business
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and customer retention through consistent, productive account calls
  • Develop and maintain great relationships with customers and prospects
  • Creating price quotes and converting to orders in the company’s system
  • Represent Keystone in a professional and supportive manner
  • Provide a consultative sales approach to accounts
  • Act as liaison and advocate between customer and internal Keystone teams
  • Effectively learn and present Keystone’s products and processes to our customers
  • Contribute to the culture of Keystone through participation in activities, adherence to the core values and continuous improvement
  • Stay abreast of and learn about all products and services available to assigned customers
  • Build and maintain a consistently strong pipeline of sales opportunities
  • Identify new and emerging markets
  • Replace incumbent suppliers at assigned accounts
  • Up to 50% travel

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven business development strategies delivering a successful track record of revenue growth
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage individual goals and responsibilities
  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and team building skills are required
  • Effectively manage CRM to maintain contact information, generate sales activities, and track pipeline opportunities
  • At least an intermediate level in using Microsoft Office products; especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be a creative problem-solver
  • Successful navigation of a busy work environment – using good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and execute, complete projects on time with accuracy
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and prepare for unexpected challenges
  • Identifying and seizing opportunities to close sales
  • Technical and manufacturing aptitude are a plus because we produce high quality, precision products
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills: writing, editing, verbal and presenting

Compensation & Benefits

  • $60K - $70K, $90K-$100K OTE based on performance
