Job Title:Pharmacy Delivery Driver

Reports To:Lead Pharmacist

Job Summary:

Working with the lead Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technicians, the delivery driver will be responsible for safely and conveniently delivering prescription medications to the clients of Child and Family Guidance Center located all over the DFW Metroplex. A familiarity with delivery scheduling, a clear background and drug test, and knowledge of relevant HIPAA and DEA laws is a must. Reliable transportation and punctuality to ensure delivery schedules are always executed successfully are the main priorities for this position. As this is a growing department, employment will begin on an as needed basis with the possibility to move to full-time or part-time employment depending on the rate of growth within the department.

Essential Duties:

1. Punctuality to arrive prior to pharmacy opening at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday

2. Organize and verify prescriptions for delivery

3. Coordinate with Pharmacist to create a reasonable and achievable delivery schedule.

4. Use of mobile devices as means for navigation and delivery verification

5. Ability to communicate effectively with clients at all times in a polite and professional manner

6. Ability to remain calm during stressful driving times and when dealing with clients

7. Ability to complete all deliveries each day no matter weather or traffic conditions
Job Qualifications:
1. Education: Minimum education required to become a delivery driver is a high school diploma

a. Candidate must complete Pharmacy Technician Trainee Certification

2. Experience: One to two years of experience working as a delivery driver with a clean driving record. A proven track record of completing tasks unsupervised is preferred.

3. Required Skills/Qualifications:

a. Clean background check and ability to pass regular drug testing

b. Valid driver license and vehicle insurance

c. Willing to undergo fingerprinting

d. Knowledge of GPS and ability to use various mobile devices

e. Knowledge of state driving laws with a clean driving record

f. High level of organization and communication skills

g. Bilingual is preferred

Physical Requirements:

1. Employee must be able to frequently (up to 70% of the time) drive within all Texas laws

2. Must be able to frequently (up to 30% of the time) talk, listen and speak clearly in person and via telephone to other employees and clients

3. Must be able to push, pull, lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs. repetitively

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
