General Summary:

RSI Field Service Technician is responsible for understanding and practicing the proper installation of low voltage systems. You must be efficient in both working on a team and alone on projects. You will need to possess skills, training, certifications, and programming devices and management platforms, for commissioning the systems and for delivering a basic operations level of customer training.

Responsibilities:

- Reviews quotes and scope of projects before on-site execution begins

- Inspects installation sites, studies work orders, building plans and installation manuals

- Installs low voltage cabling, devices, and systems to established specifications, appropriate codes and using best practices as defined by direct supervisor

- Maintains a clean job site, vehicle, assigned fasteners and connectors and the job required tools

- Feeding cables through conduit, access holes, attics, crawl spaces, roof spaces, cavities…to reach mounting locations, as appropriate, installs boxes, flexible conduit and connectors, then positions and terminates cables, wires and strapping before final device mounting

- Conducts service calls and troubleshoots

- Test and repairs circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally, both inside and outside the company while being able to log appropriately.

- Delegate tasks to others within their capabilities when assigned as a team member

- Must work well on a team, receive direction, demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism as part of daily routine

- Travel extensively across North America and on occasion weekends that are necessary for multiple site; Home most weekends

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years with a previous construction trade

- Hands-on/field experience from previous work experience

- Possesses and maintains a working knowledge of basic IT networking, configurations and IP addressing

- Ability to read architectural drawings

- Team management/supervisor experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
