Job Overview:

As a Revenue Analyst, you perform extensive quantitative and qualitative analyses to support key stakeholders in monitoring revenue performance and identifying opportunities for revenue growth within various regional portfolios. You will also take the lead on numerous projects and initiatives as Cortland continues to innovate and adapt to changing market conditions. Here are the roles you’ll play:

Roles You Will Play:


The Revenue Specialist

  • Manage inventory and pricing for a portfolio of 30 to 50 multi-family assets
  • Align daily pricing decisions with asset strategies and market conditions
  • Use analytics and data to promote asset outperformance and revenue growth
  • Utilize data to assess trends and alert leadership of potential risks and opportunities
  • Develop and deploy creative pricing and inventory management execution plans
  • Create new analysis methodologies to incorporate into existing portfolio of reports
  • Support senior revenue associates through ownership of administrative and support functions


The Collaborator

  • Develop relationships with key operations and investment stakeholders, bringing credibility, commitment, and energy to the team
  • Support revenue growth efforts in alignment with asset strategies through demonstration of strong data and analysis skills
  • Strengthen your awareness of revenue objectives within your region and across the organization through curiosity and strong partnerships
  • Identify and execute actionable revenue improvement initiatives and business strategies

  • Investors have a clear picture of how their assets are performing, thanks to your ability to compile and analyze all the pertinent data and create reports that are easily understood.
  • Operations staff members utilize your findings to identify areas of concern and fix them, so their assets can perform at their highest revenue potential.
  • Assets have reached their revenue goals as a direct result of your rate recommendations and risk avoidance advice.
  • Top line revenue outperformance is strengthened as impactful initiatives are identified, cultivated and successfully executed.
Building Blocks of Success:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in data analysis, economics, or statistics, or equivalent experience required. Equivalent years of experience are defined as one year of professional experience for each year of college requested.
Experience:
  • 1+ years’ experience in revenue management, data analysis, economics, statistics or related role preferred
  • Multi Family Operations or Financial Management preferred
Skills & Certifications:
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently at a fast pace
  • SQL experience preferred
    • Data visualization experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar software preferred
