Job description
Provides direct patient care as well as supervises the care given by all Respiratory Therapists, providing quality technical and management aspects of respiratory therapy, EEG and EKG services at Tuality Community Hospital and Tuality Forest Grove Hospital. Works in conjunction with the Director of Emergency Services and the Medical Director of Respiratory Services to update and maintain clinically appropriate departmental procedures.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
a. Education: Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy, RRT credential preferred. A copy of your highest level science-related academic diploma or transcript required upon hire.
b. License: License from the National Boards of Respiratory Care. Current state professional license required.
c. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred upon hire, and required within 90 days of hire. If not American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certified upon hire, must have current BLS certification through another provider. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
d. Skills/Experience: Three to five years progressively higher level of responsibility required, including supervisory experience.
e. Demonstrates competency in all facets of Respiratory Therapy for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
f. Demonstrates excellent customer service.
g. Demonstrates effective written and interpersonal communication skills.
h. Demonstrates strong leadership abilities and utilizes effective conflict resolution skills.
i. Demonstrates team-building skills.
j. Uses PC skills for communication and analysis of data: e-mail, word processing, and Excel experience preferred.
k. Presents a professional personal appearance.
l. Works effectively with multiple priorities, deadlines, and skills under pressure with many interruptions.
m. Bilingual skills a plus.
