Job Opportunity:

We are growing and we are looking for a RESEARCH OPHTHALMIC ASSISTANT to join our work family!

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Assisting with study initiation activities, such as coordinating the delivery of study related paperwork, equipment, demos, supplies, job aids and participating in study-initiation meetings and trainings.

  • Reviewing and developing a familiarity with protocols, study proceedings and timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, confidentiality, and privacy protections.

  • Assisting with report preparation and clinical study communications to external agencies (e.g. FDA, IRB) as requested.

  • Helping facilitate and communicate with research OD and all other doctors within Vance Thompson Vision to ensure study enrollment on studies in which they are lead.

  • Completing EDC queries, data entry and source documentation in a timely manner.

  • Serving as a primary patient contact in areas such as counseling on visit requirements, study purpose, and study costs, etc. Provide high quality patient care by promptly addressing patient information needs.

You Have:

  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant and Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, desired

  • 3 years of experience working in research, desired.

  • High school diploma, required.
