Responsibilities:

• Partners with team and contributes to a welcoming environment for patients
• Meets and escorts patient from waiting room to exam room
• Conducts patient's medical history and prepares patients for examination, recording pertinent information on patient's chart for the dentist's reference
• Provides superior chair-side clinical support to Dentists and Hygienists
• Assists dentists using four-handed dental assisting techniques in operative, endodontic, oral surgery, orthodontic, pedodontics, prosthodontics, and periodontal procedures by performing oral evacuation, fabricating temporary crowns, custom trays, taking impressions, mixing cements, and assisting in the application of light-cured material
• Cleans and prepares operatory rooms, arranges dental instruments and equipment for each patient, and organizes and lays out instruments for the dentist's use
• Advises patients on dental care and helps make patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment, providing emotional support, compassion, and sympathy towards patient's need
• Checks out patients, collects payments, schedules next appointment, and walks patient to exit, ensuring a positive patient experience
• Takes and processes X-rays
• Completes lab work as required
• Completes sterilization processes for equipment and operatory
• Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Registered with State of TN as a Registered Dental Assistant (Would be willing to consider recently relocated dental assistant who is willing to get registered.)
• Current X-ray license (preferred)
• Current BLS or CPR certification
• Able to multitask
• Detail-oriented
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Team player who values relationships

Schedule:

• Full-time / Monday - Thursday / 6:30 am - 4:30 pm
