Job Title-Receiver/Purchasing Manager

Job Summary- The primary task in this job isPurchasingFood, receiving orders, and maintaining inventory, in accordance with federal guidelines, industry and established Compass standards, and may be guided by the Chef, MOD, or other leader to help provide quality service at all times.

Reports to: Executive Chef/GM

Essential Duties:

Places all orders for Café and food service operations

Coordinates with the team to ensure that all orders are accurate to Café and food service needs

Completes all paperwork for all orders

Does weekly inventory of storage products

Rotates all stock and keeps storage areas clean and well organized

Follows all safety and sanitation rules and practices

Assists with dishwashing and sanitation

Ensures that the receipt, handling, and storage of all goods minimizes loss, waste, and fraud by carefully following established procedures

Ability to work well independently given proper direction

Promotes clean, safe, and neat environment for self and staff

Cooperates with other staff in performing job duties to ensure the success of the team

Aides in Café service

General knowledge of Safety and sanitation rules and practices

General knowledge of food handling procedures and standards

Ability to manage paperwork associated with receiving orders

Knowledge of proper lifting techniques

Responsible for receiving all goods, both food and non-food, shipped to the Café and Food service departments

Checks all deliveries for correctness and quality

Must use good judgement in receiving goods, as to correctness and quality

Performs other duties assigned

Physical Requirements:

Must be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age. Capable of heavy lifting of at least fifty (50) pounds for prolonged periods of time over an eight (8) hour shift. Ability to see and hear, or to use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that position requirements can be fully met. Sufficient manual dexterity to operate a fire extinguisher and to manipulate hand truck, cartons, utility knife, and floor cleaning equipment.

Personal Requirements:

Needs the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and have good communication skills. Ability to use simple math concepts. Sound Mental and physical health. Ability to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, to workas a member of a team, and to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
