The Real Estate Data Analyst role means the opportunity to develop and evolve WPG’s ability to make better decisions through collection, usage and interpretation of data. By identifying, acquiring and developing collaborative internal relationships and most importantly, the ability to “connect the dots” of how data structures, analysis and reporting support the deal making function, the Real Estate Data Analyst is a key player on the team that ensures business data and insights are effectively utilized throughout the real estate cycle.

You’ll use your problem solving skills to interpret data, workflow, user or stakeholders’ inputs, document and analyze results. Your project management skills will come into play to facilitate cross functional conversations about different ways to unlock value and capabilities through report creation. Most importantly, you’ll gain significant knowledge and visibility to not only the leasing, negotiation & back end processes but how to strategically evaluate the data throughout the deal process to influence the next real estate decision.

As a Real Estate Data Analyst, you’ll use your skills, experience and talents to be part of forward thinking and challenging goals focused on the end to end leasing process. In this role, anticipate getting involved in responsibilities such as:

• Partnering with leadership to identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets – insights from the data being paramount.
• Ad-hoc, strategic analysis of structured and unstructured data across multiple data sources, reflecting global real estate markets and the operations of real estate assets.
• Defines data requirements and gathers and validates information, using judgment and statistical tests.
• Interpret real estate documents, data, workflow, user, or stakeholders’ inputs, documents, and analyze results.
• Filter and normalize data by reviewing data, reports, dashboards, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems and further identify potential improvements to existing reporting, dashboards, data structures and performance indicators.
• Identifies and troubleshoots data integration and integrity issues in cooperation with WPG business units; Designs work flows and procedures

About you:

• Four year degree required in computer science, math, engineering or related field
• 1-3 years’ experience in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture preferred; real estate a plus
• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting finding
• Ability to create and organize a wide variety of financial spreadsheets, schedules and analyses
• Have knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
• Ability to multi task/pivot/get pulled in a different direction without getting bent out of shape
• Strong verbal communication skills with ability to work effectively with key internal partners
• Having an attitude of not being afraid to jump in and help the collective cause
• Aptitude to manage up
• Sound knowledge of and experience with reporting/dashboarding packapackages, ie: PowerBI, Tableau, Datastudio, SSRS, Plx, etc.
