Job Title: Radiologist Physician.

Type: Part time.

Location: 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange New Jersey 07018-1023.

Job Summary: FAR Group is looking for a Qualified Board-Certified Interventional Radiology Physician .

The candidate should have all the relevant education and experiences to perform the duties effectively and efficiently, that includes License to practice in New Jersey, Board certification, and his responsibilities include the duties mentioned in this Job Description.

Requirements: The Candidate shall meet the minimum following requirements:

License to practice in New Jersey.

Board certified.

Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU) Requirements

Duties: The Candidate will undertake the following duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Angiography/Venography

Cryoablation

Balloon angioplasty/stent placement

Vascular access procedures

Chemoembolization

IVC filters

Cholecystostomy

Kyphoplasty

Abscess Drainage

Nephrostomy placement

Embolization

Radiologically inserted gastrostomy

Thrombolysis

Dialysis access & related interventions

Biopsy

TIPS placement

Radiofrequency/Microwave ablation

Y90 Radioembolization

Biliary intervention

IVC Filter Placement

The candidate shall be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.

The candidate shall provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for interventional radiologic procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.

The candidate shall determine the appropriate course of treatment and communicate in person or by phone with the referring clinicians.

The candidate shall provide review of procedure requests and next- day patient cases for minimum of two hours daily.

The candidate shall provide post-procedure evaluation and follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiologic procedures.

The candidate performing the services shall be responsible for residents.

The candidate shall Provide for an academic environment conducive to the training and professional development for residents rotating through the Interventional Radiology Service.

The candidate shall be responsible for complying with the Residency review documentation and ensuring that all notes and encounters are completed and shall appropriately document medical records in accordance with VA standards, equivalent to TJC compliance guidelines, standard commercial practice and guidelines established by James A. Peterson VAMC.

The candidate shall provide clinical direction to and oversight of residents/fellows consistent with current accreditation guidelines, clinical research, protocol development, data management of protocols.
