The Research & Development (R&D) Chef position is to fill an opening in our barbecue division. This position will be responsible for developing new products, improving existing products involving cooked meats, meal solutions and BBQ. The chosen candidate for this role will need to be innovative and develop recipes, will work to continuously improve the quality, process, and cost of existing products. A strong knowledge of the food industry, food trends, and a sense of curiosity, creativity and passion for food are essential.

  • 3-5 years practical experience in a position responsible for product development and product ideation.
  • Experience in Meat and/or BBQ product development. Experience with poultry, pork and beef products preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary and/or Food Science is preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA requirements and labeling guidelines is beneficial.
  • Strong Culinary Work Experience and Product Development experience preferred
  • Must demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation, and computer skills.
