The hourly rate for this position at Scotts/Hawthorne will generally fall between $22.15-28.75. Scotts/Hawthorne will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.

Job Description
Assure all aspects of product quality are met, including, but not limited to product testing, weights and measures, blending procedures, documentation and finished product condition. Drive to improve the quality of our products for an excellent consumer experience.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Technician encompass the Comprehension and Execution of all GM Operations Quality Standard Processes and Procedures:

Responsible for meeting quality standards for materials and products.

Responsible for executing all required testing and assuring compliance to specifications for all job functions

Ability to interpret and respond to in-house and contract laboratory test results and elevate to appropriate parties based on results

Responsible for the Associate Quality Training Program within the facility.

Audit procedures and specifications of production line checks to assure compliance.

Maintain required record keeping/retention of quality documentation within the facility.

Responsible for monitoring all incoming raw materials to assure each meets quality standards.

Assure full compliance of all Scotts Miracle-Gro and Regulatory agency requirements that pertain to quality.

Responsible to lead Plant Quality Discussions and communicate any conditions and concerns with Plant Leadership Team.

Perform data entry and data analysis in a timely manner.

Supervise and coordinate plant special projects and testing as directed by Technical Services.
Qualification Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in a scientific or quality position, with proficient computer skills.
Skills and Abilities
Able to follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and follow written and verbal instructions, able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
