Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Quality Systems Coordinator to join our growing team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Performs a variety of quality system functions, primarily in document control. This will include the day-to-day management of an integrated electronic systems. Coordinates the flow of documents and data from initiation to retention. Acts as the liaison between Program/Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Purchasing and other groups or departments, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Serves as Change Coordinator subject matter expert.

  • Takes responsibility for maintenance of the overall document control system.
  • Manages new documents and changes to documents in accordance with company requirements.
  • Reviews all documentation for accuracy, completeness and consistency in content, format, files, and approvals.
  • Manages external standards, controlling quality records, compiling data, and generating requested reports.
  • Maintains accuracy of and changes to Wiki Quality page under the guidance of Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Manages user database configuration and preference settings. Creates and maintains access rights, as needed. Acts as primary contact for QMS database questions and system issues.
  • Maintains accuracy of data in the QMS Master List and Change Control database module.
  • Runs efficiency reports; through-put, aging and performance, Assist users of QMS database to develop reports.
  • Ensures QA specific NHO training material is up to date and accurate.
  • Implements Processes for the Document Control Department.
  • Takes responsibility for JI Record Retention processes; monitoring and measurement of the effectiveness, implement changes as needed.
  • Contributes as a team player who is deadline driven and works well with others.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management. The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.

Acts as point of contact for basic functions. Aids others with manager guidance.

Identifies improvement areas and communicates with lead


Offers suggestions for improvement within the department. Leads initiatives and projects for improvement. Capable of presenting projects and improvement goals to others.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Should have 3 years of related job experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment with compliance requirements; ISO9001 or AS9100.
  • Basic understanding of configuration control document control or quality systems.
  • Preferred experience working within the aerospace industry a plus (understands terminology and verbiage).
  • Proficient keyboard skills and a working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software is required.
  • Assignments will require a working knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Good organizational, attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED

Computers, Electronic Document Management System, Multi-line telephone, copy/printer machine, document scanner.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Wage range for this role is between $24 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
