YOUR MISSION

  • This role supports the COBRA PUMA GOLF brand located in Carlsbad, CA and will focus on both Quality Engineering & Process Improvement.
  • Make sure that engineering and manufacturing processes are performed correctly using the right tools, materials and processes.
  • Creation of quality documentation and development of SOPs for their facility and products in line with industry standards
  • Proactive review and improvement of systems and processes to ensure the maintenance of standards
  • Maintaining accurate quality documentation
  • Working closely with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is correctly maintained and implement any new changes or adaptations based on a quality review
  • Inspection and testing of various parts of manufacturing including products, components, processes, and comparing against predefined standards
  • Check that employees are trained to the proper quality standard and that safety requirements are met throughout the production process.
  • Analyzing problems reported and developing improvements to overcome them
  • Statistical analysis of manufacturing data and creation of reports for senior staff members based on quality documentation
  • Working closely with external suppliers to ensure product quality meets global standard.
  • Investigate, experiment, and implement processes to maximize productivity
  • Provide tactical coaching on Lean Methodology and Continuous Improvement Techniques (Six Sigma)
  • Provides manufacturing with packaging and technical engineering support to implement new products and processes into production
  • Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement by actively managing projects to improve overall quality
  • Continuously challenges the status quo understood as a day-to-day activity in the section
  • Proactive problem solving on the basis statistical analysis of corrective actions
  • Implementation of technical, technological developments based on proactive problem solving
  • Selection and development of tools and fixtures for improvements

YOUR TALENT

  • 3-4 years of Quality experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor Science in Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of small gauges and measurement equipment
  • Very strong analytical problem solving and organizational ability
  • Experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodology
  • Strong, professional interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work horizontally and vertically within the organization
  • Professional, well organized and eager to learn and be challenged
  • Must have excellent advanced skills with MS Office applications Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint as well as Adobe Acrobat skills.
  • Works under minimal supervision
  • Must be able to travel (Domestic & International)
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities
  • Knowledge of golf preferred
  • Works closely with other functions to ensure new product deliverables are met

The Hiring range base pay for this position is $67,700 - $96,300 + Bonus + Benefits (https://about.puma.com/en/careers/locations)
