ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Position Summary
Responsible for the design and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met during production. Oversees testing of processes and products.
Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Establishes site(s) strategies, systems and controls to support company and customer objectives in the areas of Quality
• Assurance/Compliance
• Establishes and reports site(s) key Quality performance metrics and provides leadership support to assigned sites to ensure scorecard objectives are met
• Implements and maintains overarching Quality framework, which utilizes assessment, training, and monitoring techniques
• to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, and independent agency standards
• Establishes and assures implementation of company-wide Quality programs
• Manages quality incident resolution process including completion of root cause analyses, calculation of total cost of quality,
• implementation of corrective actions, and communication to key stakeholders
• Addresses Quality concerns and operational improvement opportunities working with key stakeholders and implementing
• corrective actions
• Manages the external/internal audit processes and supports site Quality representative responsible for executing any
• needed corrective action to address audit deficiencies
• Provides guidance on staffing, training, employee relations and performance management to develop and enhance the
• Quality function, working closely with direct reports
• Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing
• professional publications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Work Experience Required
At least 5 years relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired

• Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment and site
• Knowledge of the existing and planned approaches and methods for manufacturing products or product components
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
• Knowledge of and experience with effectively managing changes to the production environment and process
• Knowledge of and ability to identify a problem and use a disciplined approach to bringing that problem to a successful resolution

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 3-5 years of quality control experience
• Strong experience in the control and ultimate disposition of in-process materials
• HACCP certification and FDA Quality Standards experience desired
• PCQI certification and USDA Quality Standards desired
• Prior experience in manufacturing, supply chain or re-packing industries
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proactive problem solver, and ability to manage projects to completion
